Fairer Future
Brand Identity, Marketing
Brand identity, illustrations and digital assets for a not-for-profit organisation on
a mission to educate people about poverty
As the driving force behind Fairer Future, Mary Sherwood has over 25 years of experience working in third sector organisations, where she developed
a deep understanding of root causes of poverty in the UK and how to break the cycle. In 2019 Sherwood decided to start sharing the knowledge she’d gained over the years in the form of 3–4-hour long consultancy sessions for businesses and third-sector organisations, to help them understand how they can make a direct and long-lasting impact on the vicious cycle of poverty in the UK.
Sherwood came to me with the interesting challenge of illustrating the slide show pages that accompany her training sessions. The slides were designed to communicate the information embedded within the training sessions in
a simple yet compelling manner. A playful colour palette was introduced to segregate the training session by theme, into condensed sections. The combination of loose, satirical illustration, simple layout and mild colour palette work together to bring Sherwood’s observations to life.
